I actually think this is a proof strike!
I just checked the rotation and the tip of the crown lines up with the a!!!!

look at the die indicator between the r and the denticles in emporoR

so does anyone here have an opinion on this being a proof strike?

you would need to take a better picture of the denticles or beading, especially on the king side

I read the article in CAB a few years back, in which there were many indicators, unfortunately all drained and gone by now except for one.
The nipple. Didn't they bow to fuddyduddyism back then and remove the nipple from the specimen or proof dies? Or was that the circulation dies? Anyhow it's a good indicator that your coin may well be a specimen or proof. The author of that article was Vince Verheyan (sorry about the spelling Vince) who used to be on the old forum, and could just as well be a member here.
As we age we lose three things, one is our memory and arrrrr I've forgotten the other two!

From my research the Proof coin did not include a "Nipple"

There were no Proofs issued but two types of Proof-like coins were made and issued.

The Specimen florin has the nipple. The proof/proof-like dies didn't have a nipple and the circulation dies were also sans nipple.
