nope, garage sale $150

lifted it, felt the weight and gave them what they were asking
I actually didn't think they were that good as they were selling aus pennies for a bomb that were in average circulated condition but I figured that the kids would get a kick out of playing with it thinking it was modern junk

I was a bit wrong

still trying to figure some out like this medal hallmarked 1901

note this is an average scan not a pic

I suggest you start another thread for those items Serial, they've got nothing really to do with the topic of this thread.

Don't be, it seems to be something of a pastime here :) I suggest you start a new thread for the unidentified items.  I bet someone knows something about them.

Is that all you got:taunt:
Um, you will be in front of me for ONE DAY on 2 of the 3 sets (I'm adding another sixpence:yahoo:) and I still beat you on the Commemorative Florins.

Mind you, we are competing to see who comes 15th (so Fenton, Timbertop etc can rest easily knowing neither of us will catch up to them for a few years.
Did you send in some raw coins? If so was it straightforward or as much fun as dealing with a tax audit?
Nothing like friendly rivalry:wavemulticolor:

sorry neal :P

Dude, I have a raw ChUnc Centenary florin waiting to be slabbed (signed) The Great Procrastinator.
Have to also get a decent '51 Com. (one of these days).
Worst thing about PCGS, the high cost of return postage means that you need to form a decent parcel, and the high cost of slabbing pre '65s means you have to put aside a big chunk of cash to pay for the privilege. And then you spot a coin you want and you blow your wad.
Added the '39 sixpence to my registry, wasn't enough to nudge in front of you:-/
I'll check out your Centenary, never seen one graded so low so it will be a learning experience.:taunt:

lol I thought it was going to get a details but thought I would try so 61 is a win as far as I am concerned
but send it! it is fun getting the grades back
I have a 51 coming as well in ms 61 so it will do till I get an upgrade

Yes, that's an interesting grade.  I bet it's a lot harder to find a Centenary that will grade MS61 vs one that will grade MS64.

A bit of hairlines on the obverse, must have been borderline. Other than that it isn't a bad looking coin.

I have only ever got one MS61.  A 1927 shilling, sent it in on a lark after buying by accident.  I doubt there's a dealer in Australia who would call it better than EF.
