1933/2 Penny MS64 sold $29,500. Is that the going price or is that huge? Auction is starting the bidding on each coin rather high in my uneducated opinion.

I was actually expecting a lot higher.

1933/2 1d are very rare with that much colour.

A lot of starting prices are high, but certainly not all.

1958 3d in MS66 went for $900 + commission.

So is the starting prices good??

dcoin

It's not a real auction if most of the starting bids are above market value, just my 2 cents.

would of loved to own the 1918-M florin MS64, but I would of had to arrange divorce papers as well:nea:

It's even prettier in the hand. Priced as an MS65 though.

Congratulations, a lovely coin.

That 1932/33 is pretty special, I expect to see it on the set registry sometime soon.

The fact that quite a few lots were passed in does suggest the starting price was a little high. The coins were all good quality.

I once found this little quote (years ago)

"Everyday, a man has to choose
between what he wants,
And what he doesn't want to lose"
