Ball Coins

I have a small collection along the theme of balls on coins. I was very much taken by the ashes design by Wojciech I decided to expand into world coins.

There are the obvious Hall of Fame baseball coins from the US Mint, but only the clad versions are still available if you haven't already obtained any.

I think I just like the idea that it gives a third dimension to the design when a lot of new coins are just pictures. I like a real coin design with depth.

I don't think I have seen many coins with balls on them.
It will be interesting to see what we can come up with.

Um, the two coins for the Australian Open but the "ball" has a serve inside of it!

I've had a bit of a look and I don't think I have any balls..ON COINS :laugh2: You lot are bloody terrible and just wanna see how big the hole can get 'cause it's only the depth that varies :winkextra: But did notice there's a few on the RAM's new list and thought about pinchin some pic's, might later I like some of the pic's posted, cheers :good:

Nice coin AJ and it has 3 dates on it. 1980 on the obverse, and 1981 (in the star) and 1982, both on the reverse.
