Hi
Can Any one give me some information on how rare the 1921 London die penny's are. Have just found one in about EF45 to AU50

A Victorian guru told me a while back that the mintage was estimated to be between 20,000 and 100,000. So not super rare but only a fraction of the overall mintage (7,430,000). Quite hard to find in VF or better.

Don't trust the mintage figures, could easily be out by a million.
The Stuart Andersen hoard had 31 found to 1890 Indians. That is about 1 in 60 so that implies over 100,000.
And always nice to find, especially in a decent grade.
I know that at least 3 die pairs exist, the obverse dies were almost certainly from 1922, so these were the tail end.
Probably cover it in more detail next year in CAB.

Just did a count on ebay. 190 in total with 13 Londons. 11 of the 13 were identified by the seller. What if we kick out the 11 and call it 2 Londons from 179. Getting close to 1 in 90, but that's ebay for ya!!
As we age we lose three things, one is our memory and arrrrr I've forgotten the other two!

To get a 1921 Indian in VG or even an English in F and pay to get them slabbed has me scratching my my head. In F grade I pick up the English obverse for $10-20 and in VG the Indian for 20-40 cents.
