I just to went to the RAM site order the2014 Mintmark and Privy Set  and with postage was $35 for the set.
I bought the same set from an eBay reseller for $28 including postage.
It is bad enough them bleeding/fleecing us collectors for the ridicules prices for the NCLT coins, To rip us off on the postage as well is bordering on Criminal.
If a secondary seller can deliver the same product at a much lesser cost and still make a profit , It is sending me the message that something stinks at RAM and I will NO longer buy from them.

$12 postage, that's what it's telling me too.

This is where I got mine, a $3.50 mark up and only $2 postage :good:

A: Don't collect the NCLT's.
or
B: Orders over $350 are "Free Post"

I got mine from my local city coin shop and got a discount and didn't have to pay postage. Usually have to wait a bit as they aren't very prompt with new issues.

I get mine from my local post office agency as he is an agent for Downies.  As a coin club member (he is also) get 5% discount and NO postage.

I was at Australia post the other day and I asked about sending parcels after seeing another thread with the break down.
If the item doesn't pass as a letter, it is basically a parcel.
$6.95 - includes tracking for up to 500g.
$2.95 - signature on delivery (otherwise it is just dropped in the letterbox / at the door)
$1.50 - insurance per $100 - starting at $1.50 for anything under $100. There is no insurance included (registered post on a letter includes $100 in the price)
This brings you to a total of $11.40, before any packaging costs.

I dare say Australia Post is more to blame for the exorbitant prices as opposed to those who use them.

Does the RAM use Australia Post, or a courier company? I wouldn't know, it's been a long time since I had anything sent to me direct from the RAM.

All parcels automatically have $50 insurance included now. AP will always fail to tell you this to get you to buy more or add-ons.

Ahh, ok, they call it "discretionary compensation", up to $50.

The 4 coin set would be able to pass as a letter.
$1.10 for the padded envelope $1.20 for postage and $2 registered

I make it $4.30 and Ram use the crappy brown elcheapo envelopes anyway so probable mailing cost would be $3.40 with tracking.

Even at non letter rates , They are still a rip off :ok:

I was recently charged $14.80 to mail an ANA Medallion to me, I will never buy of that seller again.
I put RAM firmly on the same page and  until they  start to charge a "Fair" cost for postage I will never buy off them again either.

As  a "Footnote" the same type of set in 2011 had a issue price of $14.95, this year they are $22.50.
That's an increase of over 50% in 3 years :dash1:

These sets were on display at RAM giftshop last week with notice they are not available till Feburary.
I agree issue price and postage is outrageous.
Buy them from a Post Office is cheapest way to skip postage cost as is most RAM releases

Trout buy direct from me and pay issue price for this set plus $3 freight. Cheaper than the eBay guy. Orders over $150 are freight free.

No worries Shane, I am sure that there will be 2 x 4 coin sets of these like the 2010 and the 2011 issues.
I will get the next set off you Mate :good:

I am SHOCKED that YOU could even dare to compare the RAM to BASTARDS!
It is a vile insult to do this!
Totally unfair to bastards to compare them to the scummy RAM
All the bastards out there want an apology.:taunt::laughingneqw:
