I was in Woolworths this morning with goosebumps. Great air con in there. I could also suggest a campout in the Bunnings washer aisle and Mark can look for clipped washers again.

If they're not clipped I'm sure Bunnings has just the tool ....

Does this make you feel a little bit cooler?

Robster

Thanks Interest, Scotch and water it is.!! :dodgy:

In the last 30 minutes black clouds have formed in the east over the Adelaide Hills and thunder is echoing back and forth.!! Temp has dropped 3 degrees and humidity has risen quickly.!!

purplepennyhunter

Yeah and we had like 3 drops of rain and they evaporated on the way down.

hell guys
sounds horrid

we have the evaporative cooler (but no roof insulation as the builder had it taken out for the reno IN 3 WEEKS TIME# - Robbie is not impressed but better than before we had the cooler

I pulled out the window aircon that has been sitting in the garage for 4 years - wouldn't go - not happy - it was my 'back - up plan'

enrob - get yourself down to a covered swimming pool

we went tonight and have been going a lot lately

even if you just float around and cool off - the main thing they reckon for you to do is to get the core body temp. down & drink heaps of water, they are even saying on the radio to go to the shops where there is air-conditioning

Perth Hills has taken a shocking battering with fires - 46 homes lost and uncertain if more than one person has died

I have nothing to complain about!!
the old breezeair is on full bore (auto mode) and it is comfortable come this time of the afternoon

we are to cop the high temps tomorrow onwards - I hope that is all that we end up getting - fingers crossed
Yes robbie, this is a couple of suburbs away from our house. We are used to the threat of bushfire but this one was shocking. Several people missing. A fallen power pole is being blamed.

all the best birdie - I don't think that it's over yet for you guys there so keep vigilant - I feel for you - I am still traumatised by the bushfires that came through here & yep houses went up not too far from our home as well

I agree I think it's what you do or can do in the heat. I didn't feel it that bad today but I took it easy. A few weeks ago it was 43 deg or something and I had to drive out to a hot part of town and park in uncovered parking and walk to meet someone and I almost keeled over and died. Just as well there was a hot fireman to rescue me.

Today I stayed indoors and when I did go out it was to the air conditioned shops. Mark told me that's what Adelaidians do when it gets this hot. I am from the Snowy Mountains.

I don't know if I have ever been in 43 degrees and I grew up in mt isa!  (oop I might be fibbing - weatherzone says that Jan 1 in Mt Isa was 44.6 - I just don't remember it being that hot maybe it was farenheight temps when I was a kid or something)
