steve , I have not heard from him again after his 2 attempts to get a refund from me failed , but when I went to my ebay this morning I noticed I had an extra feedback added , I clicked on it and it read GOOD SELLER but no word from him yet so I am still none the wiser weather he is honest or not ..     ,, kel ,,
take care because we care ..

omg my package just arrived. It took over two weeks (10+ business days) for AP to deliver a letter size package from one part of Sydney to another part of Sydney.

Relief but also a bit pissed.

robbiegal

all is well that finally ends well

took AP 3 days to deliver from one side of Canberra to the other
then the postie didn't leave a collection slip
so it took the customer 2 weeks to get his item
I think he was p**ssed as well

Recent purchase on eBay took 8 working days to travel just 15km. Conveniently the seller never checked the item in so they'll blame AP and I bet AP would blame the seller for not getting a lodgement scan. You can never win.

I keep a check the delivery status & couldn't understand why the buyer hadn't collected, so I contacted him and then the saga unravelled

I bought a book on eBay 5 years ago and I never received it. It was from interstate. Perhaps I gave up in it too early and anytime now it would pop up in the mail. :D

Nice avatar RG. :good:

sweet eh? - go grab yourself a K off the downies web page

yeah your book might show up ... at an aussie post lost property auction

I am still waiting on a aparcel WITH a $50 note in it to be delivered to my daughter's place where she lived about 15 years ago
no returned to sender yet ... still hopeful that it just might show up one day - I am an optimist - always

Not if it's an organ for a lifesaving transplant.

Note to self: don't send kidney through AP.

On the news last night Australia Post want to raise the price to $1 for  a regular letter.

kchan1111

With volumes falling guess they have no choice.

Hello,

Try to send something overseas, and look at the cost. I can buy an SD card reader from China for $1 with free Post. If I had to send it back for warranty, I am sure it would far more for Post alone. They used to operate with economies of scale, now Email has reduced that. If the price keeps going up, they will lose more customers and need to charge more again. There are already Courier companies that are cheaper, and the AP big boss is paid more than he is worth. Technology has favoured Telstra when the PMG split up.

I may be showing my age here But I can still remember when a telegram was the Fastest means of communication and letters in the mail were the standard way of communication .
With email, txt and mobile phones that has all changed dramatically .

Yet there is still enough business going through Aus post to keep it running and a nearly 50% hike in charges is IMHO totally unjustified .
