They weren't really that expensive in comparison to what they should have cost me but it seems that all eyes were elsewhere at the time the auction was running

I can totally relate to that at the moment, I've had 11 coins on my desk for the past fortnight and am still trying to get some "good enough to create a thread" pics. (Bloody shiny coins!! :laugh2:) (Not that it will be any thing as exciting as your 34/35's, but it is enough to amuse a crazy unicorn).

The 1941 is very nice and hard to get that good, the others are all OK but nowhere near GEM UNC with problems such as scratches on the queens face.

Thanks Neal, 1941 has gone to plastic factory already. Other 3 coins I received today..

This is what you used to get for the extra $5 in a "Secure" submission.

For the extra $5 you now get this :good:

I went bit of a raw coin shopping spree.. Could I please get some of your expert opinion on the potential coin grades ? First lot will be 3 florins.. 1954, 1957 and 1962..

As a side note off the coins were graded GEM UNC by the seller ...

Thank you for your help ..

For what it's worth, IMHO I wouldn't call them gem as there are too many contacts.  It looks like they have spent some time housed in 2X2's and stored in soft plastic pages where the PVC has leaked through the mylar. A soak in acetone for a day or two should help
As we age we lose three things, one is our memory and arrrrr I've forgotten the other two!

Thanks mate, the 3 florins went back to where it came from .... I wanted them to grade at a level to make sure it is worth what I have paid for them... So hunt continues :dodgy:
