Excellent spotting Nancy - I wouldn't have picked that up at all.

I wouldn't have seen it either without a 10x Loupe.

Found this in my change coins today .. I have no idea where I picked it up.

That is the third NCLT dollar coin I have found in change.

Got this one in change locally not so long ago.

Lucky I collect study pieces :)

3rd time in as many months[ may be a bit longer] I 've been getting dodgy STUDY PIECES IN change.

Picked up a cud in my change yesterday. Have found several from noodling but this is first time in change.

Got an American quarter in my change when ordering Mexican at Guzman Y Gomez. They were probably happy to palm off a foreign coin ... I was certainly happy to take US25c instead of AU10c.

Just went and took a photo of one from many moons ago.
I worked at a TAB, and a punter paid for a bet with these $1 and $2 coins from a proof set. Photo doesn't do it justice.

They both have a bit of scratching on them. Not sure if that's common when you are breaking apart the plastic case to put on a bet out of desperation.

Back in the 1970's/80's they used to be found in 10c Poker Machine drops,i guess it was US Visitors trying their luck.

Yeah, local Tab agent keeps rare/unique Coins that go over the counter for me.
Amazing what turns up when people down to their last $ raid Piggy Banks or Draws.

Jeff, I have one of those Volunteer dollars with a rim cud on it, which I put away in one of my coin albums back in 2001/2002, but I didn't notice the rim cud on it until last year. :)

PPH, I'm just so jealous of you. I've never received a Coronation coin in change before, and I've only found 3 via noodling. :wavemulticolor:

Seedyrom, why do the fields on your proof coins look as if they're covered with black paint? Are they really covered with black paint, or is this just an optical illusion? :dontknow:

JeffH

Herc.
I have several Volunteer dollars with rim cuds in slightly different positions and some with two rim cuds (again different positions). All are reverse and between 7 and 10 o'clock.
