Quote from: 'Ozcoins' pid='33507' dateline='1383625991'I had 'Ylvis - the fox (what does the fox say?)' going through my head last night while I was trying to sleep....
Yes, it is on YouTube.

Ozcoins, you'll be pleased to see that a parody is out there .....
What does the farmer say .......

I had one going through my head overnight but, it has gone now. Sometimes they don't hang around.
I will try not to remember what it was.

Don't know whether many have seen this article (and video).

Goes for a while, but I like the music from around 6:47 onwards ( ..... name the show ..... )

How wonderful.

And, speaking of unusual instruments, the Chapman stick is a beauty.

Ah, I just love the Mentals, I think I have all their songs. I had their video, Monumental, which was fabulous.

Working for the Man was brilliant as was Rock 'N' Roll Music ..... ah just too many ..... (times), I guess.

I got to see them play live (but after Pete and Reg left), to about 50 people at a little bowling club. T'was very good.

I still love Greedy Smith's intro on the video ..... I play accordian, harmonica and the fool.

ausjack

mate I don't think I'll have to bring any misic when I come visit ya :winkextra: But you lucky lucky bastard gettin to see some of them play and a small venue would be even so cool, hate cowds now :)

Unicorn

Yes lucky indeed AJ, we were so close I could have touched the Martin Plaza's guitar as he was playing! The stage was only about a foot higher than the floor.

I saw the Mentals at A Day On The Green (at a winery) some years ago and was rather disappointed. Over an hour late for their set and their sound equipment was rubbish. And, even if they hadn't been sampling the sponsors product, they were rather "tired and emotional" from some cause -at lunchtime! Still, they did put out some great songs.
However, Paul Kelly, Kate Cerebano, Dan Kelly and some others still made it a great day out.

That was the first time I heard this song and loved it instantly. Bradman

The next D o t G at the same (local to me) venue had "Not the Little River Band" (Birtles Shorrock Goble -someone else now owns the original L R Band name), Katie Noonan and Troy Cassar Daley. Problem now is that promoters are bussing in people from all over the country and tickets for locals are rather hard to get.
