Hi all,

I believe defacing a note or coin is illegal, however look at this story the Daily Telegraph ran in March this year. Link below:

The funny part, is the headline states "illegally", but then they copy the pictures and post a link to the guys website for everyone to see the rest. Am I missing something here??

I think the same type of laws apply to US coins.
However the "Hobo Nickel" is a widely collected "defaced" coin :ok:

Hobo Nickels are incredible little pieces of "folk" art that only enhance the coins. imo. Just luv em.!!
