My pop is selling most of his coins but the 1915 threepence & his $1 dollar mule.
I know its worth keeping the mule but what about the 1915 threepence?

Cheers
did you see the pics that I posted in your other thread about threepences?

Nikolce92

Its very similar to your 1910 one does that help?

robbiegal

yep yep yep
of course :)

although, there's no use asking me about the 3p as I have a couple but I don't really collect them (they followed me home - ha ha)
I know buggar all about them except that babies can choke on them, although more true that the $1 will near kill them (we had a kiddie in the hospital a little while back who nearly died from just that)

Why not sign him up and have him offer them here? Or if he's as computer literate as my dad, do it for him. :)

people can promote their ebay listings in the selling thread too

I have found two 1915 threepences in my detecting days and when I looked at a coin catalogue, I nearly fell off my chair.   The coins were up around $1000.00 in value.   However, this was the price in the older McDonalds catalogues but the price has come down now to a more respectable $42.00 in VG Grade,9Maccas 2012),   It would appear that the earlier prices had a misplaced decimal point.

The price sounds reasonable considering only 800,000 were produced.

Mule prices vary, not only on the grade but the position of the double rim on the Obverse.   If one has a Mule with a very well centred double rim then the coin will attract a premium.   If the double rim is offset to the upper left, as most of the Mules are, then the price will drop sharply.

I would be interested in seeing the coins you dad wants to sell so do as already suggested, get him onto this site and lets see the pickies please.
