Thanks to the increase in silver price, these coins are worth a lot more now.
There's about $1600 worth in the silver alone.

Did he ever manage to sell them Steve, and if so, how much did he get?
Looking back at the silver I'd say quite a few are cleaned.
Impossible to say without better pictures though.

My daughter ended up buying them and she let me have what ever I needed for my collection.
She still has the rest as I told her to hang on to them, as I could see silver was rising.
They are for sale if anyone is interested though, although some of the coins pictured are now in my collection.

I may be interested in some of them as upgrades, if you have list - you could send the ones I need with my 2024/25 update package, email me or fb note me if you like

These 5 coins are veterans of that collection, safely in my collection, thanks to Trigg

Includes a scarce 1948 dot penny and a better 1957 florin (Mine was VG) and 2 x 1942 halfpennies I did not have, plus another penny variety that I needed.

Thanks! :taunt:

Update on this collection.

Daughter is happy, as silver is going through the roof. She has probably made $1000 on this investment,
even after I took out what I needed.

Here's some pics of a few of the coins. Grading and valuation opinions welcome.

1915-H Half Penny

1923 Half Penny

1925 Penny

I bet she is laughing. Good on her.
I can't even offer a suggestion on pennies and halfpennies.

autocoupler

Maybe, 1915 halfpenny - good. $40
1923 halfpenny - good fine. $860+ looks to have peripheral die cracking
           1925 penny - good fine. $100+
As we age we lose three things, one is our memory and arrrrr I\'ve forgotten the other two!

1915 coin - near VG
1923 - near Fine, too much flatness on band for full fine
1925 penny - Fine or very slightly better
