The bar person was the one who ripped it when I suggested it. To save any complications I still took it for a study piece. Wasn't the first time one that had popped up.

The 4 convicted were Jeffrey Charles Mutton - failed shop keeper and ex Navy, Dale Andrew Code - Tailor, Ronald Keith Adam - photographer and engraver, Francis John Papworth - Artist. After Code was jailed a stash of counterfeit notes were found in the chimney of his old residence. They caught fire , that"s how they were found, apparently. It is believed only about 4,500 of these dodgies made it into circulation, it is quoted. There is further information in one of Michael P. Vort-Ronald reference books, Australian Decimal Banknotes. Bit ironic that one of the faces on the $10 notes was Francis Greenway, convicted of counterfeiting.
