Turns out it was not the best I have found in many years of noodling. The one in my album, that I found years ago. is actually better. So "the best I have found in recent years". :yahoo:
As my policy is to only keep the best of any year/variety/error for myself I am giving it a run on eBay. 1985 50 cent coin -scarce year, almost uncirculated

I wonder why the dies seem to fail in that spot regularly and why RAM hasn't learnt anything about stopping that failure after all those years?

Someone banked $2000 of $1 coins at my local bank Friday. So four bags to noodle.
