the $1.00 coins in card (and some with stamp) and would like to know how to keep them. do i take the coin out
and put in a plastic capsule or is there a folder to keep the card and coin in. what is the best way to keep these in a collection?

Welcome to the forum.

I keep the coin in the folder and I keep the folder in a plastic page that normally holds medals.   There is an album out there specifically designed to hold the $1 Carded Coins.

There are some of these coins that are on different sized cards so you had better be prepared to have a variety of plastic pages to hold these odd sized cards/folders.

Your question will I believe, open up many responses from others besides me.

:welcome: thesilentangel, and wow, that's a mouthful  What about TSA for short   :)

My preferred method after much procrastination is to place all dollar coins in PVC free saflips, stored in PVC free pages which are housed in PVC free albums.

The packaging can be stored in an old shoe box or something similar, but never in the vicinity of the coins. After all, it's not the packaging that's of interest, which is only kept for resale if that's what people want.

The majority of dollar coins can be removed from their packaging without damage to either, but there are some, like mint sets, baby sets, four coin privy sets etc that require the card backing to be carefully split open to allow the coins their freedom. In this case the packaging is basically destroyed anyway, so you may want to purchase a second set to keep in tact if that's your priority.
