boat trailer winch

hi all , my new winch arrived at 12.20 pm Qld time ,
 by courier , I carried it inside to the kitchen cupboard  , opened it up , first thing I read on the plastic was ,
 [ READ THE BOOK FIRST BEFORE OPERATING THIS ITEM ,] MY SELF AND MY WIFE BOTH LOOKED ,
GUESS WHAT , NO BOOK ..gr gr gr gr

 
 next thing ,  send off an email to them , now waiting for a reply ..

yes Bruce , I did that last night , cant find one the same ,

I don't want to whinge , but , every thing I do lately seems to go wrong and I am starting to have panic attacks again , I lost out on the first winch ,so I bought this 2nd winch ,  now I just realised that it has no handle like the boat winch , to wind the boat on to the trailer if the battery goes flat , o my god what is wrong with me ? , why is this happening to me ? , am I going crazy ? or is it just old age ? , I wonder .

All you really need is a geared hand winch with a strap instead of cable.
No need for an electric winch.
I have a 15 foot fiberglass with 40hp which is nearly a ton fully loaded.
I only have a hand winch and if the going gets tough I simply drive the boat onto the trailer.

One of my pet hates is having to wait at a boat ramp while someone is stuffing around with a faulty electric winch.
