Hi all, just wanting to clear my name.
Thanks to Steve for making me aware about this post.
To start with, serial is correct, my coin is a proof strike but has had a clean.
Secondly, Mark, you never made it aware who you were or your authority on eBay so I found it very rude for you to post on here and bring down my name after not even giving me time to explain the situation. Getting a message from 'touch_it_you_die' and then to not mention who you are does not give anyone clarity of this. I contacted Kathryn to ask if she knew you and had no reply.
I mistakenly used the photos to show the 'proof type II die markers' thinking that they were the photos also used on the following reference 'http://www.drakesterling.com/CustomPageFiles-2/Proof_Centenary_Florin.pdf'. At no point did I mean to 'steal' images, only to represent the markers to potential buyers.
I hope people can understand that by posting things like this it can impact someone's reputation, before the issue is even understood completely.

My messages to this poster via eBay:

QuoteDarren you have used the images from another coin to sell this coin which is being deliberately deceptive. I know this because I TOOK THE PICTURES. Remove the pictures from the listing or I will report it to eBay.

Your response:

QuoteThese photos are of my coin. The die marker images I got from the Purple Penny, so if they are yours, then clearly other people used them too. It is not deceptive, it's informative so people know the markers.

My response:

QuoteDarren, I am part owner of the Purple Penny and you are not allowed to use our images without permission. Please remove them from your listing.

Your response to that was exactly nothing.  I posted your coin up here on the hunch that it would get back to you because I know you speak to other members of this forum.  Clearly it did get back to you and you removed the images.

The only one that has impacted on your reputation here is you.  It is NEVER OK to use other peoples images without their express permission.  At no point did you ask either myself or PPH for permission and nowhere in your listing did it suggest that all the images were not of the coin you're trying to sell.

I am going to lock this thread because it has served it's purpose.
