If you buy on eBay and have a flybuys card then this might be of interest. Collect flybuys points on eBay
Another data mining exercise but, if you meet the criteria, you have already been giving them plenty of data about yourself and your shopping habits.

Just recently my pressure pump supplying rainwater to the house has been shutting down with an error light on the controller. Reset it and runs fine for a few days before doing it again. A few tests showed me the pump, not the controller, is the problem. It is quite an expensive Grundfos pump so I started stripping it with a view to a rebuild. Quickly determined it is not designed to be easily repaired, even if spare parts can be obtained -it is quite old.

So went shopping for a replacement. Equivalent, new Grundfos one is listed in excess of $500 although some eBay sellers list them slightly cheaper. I have a small Chinese pump I use for transferring water between tanks, has been absolutely reliable, so swapped the Grundfos controller to that as a temporary measure. A little marginal on rating but did the job while I looked around for a replacement.

A lot of eBay listings for the el-cheapo pump with various brand names and different sizes. One size up from my small one has equivalent rating to my old one so selected what looked like a reliable Australian seller and ordered one.
Price $99 including postage. When I went to pay up came an offer "Redeem Coupon Take $10.00 off when you checkout with Afterpay." My wife has an Afterpay account so gave it a go and only paid $89. First of four installments only charged initially but I went to my wife's account and just paid the balance against my debit card immediately.

Two days later my new pump was installed and has operated faultlessly for last two weeks.
I have no idea who covers the $10 discount but don't really care. This is the second time I have had an Afterpay discount from an eBay purchase -last one was $14.99 on a $99 purchase.
