This one is invitation only and well worth taking up if you are listing anything in the next few weeks.
Invitations have been sent via eBay linked email addresses and/or Facebook pages.
Would be particularly good if selling any high value items.

No Commission. No Fees.

I have no idea what the criterion is for issuing invitations but we received one.
As usual terms and conditions apply -but not too onerous in this offer.

It's been said earlier in the thread, but let me emphasise it again - BEWARE THE T&Cs!

I have two ebay accounts. One, I use for all my regular purchases and sales, the other has never been used. It has another purpose. It also has a separate email address to the first account, but the two share the same Paypal account, which is based on the email address associated with the first account.

Still with me?

I received this offer by email in relation to the second account:

$20 OFF*
WHEN YOU Spend OVER $30

Enter AUSLTVJGS42CBM at checkout

After trawling the T&C, I find the following:
9. Your eBay.com.au and Australian PayPal accounts must be active at the time of redemption (not suspended nor made inactive by eBay or PayPal) and must be registered under the same email address.   (bolding is mine)

So I'm barred from using the offer, because the email address on the account to which it was sent doesn't match the email address associated with the Paypal account.

So why did Ebay even make the offer, when they would have already known this?

PayPal is not owned by ebay any more so they may not have been in a position to check it. Why they would care about that, I don't know.
You can have two accounts with different email addresses and have both linked to the same email account -that is what we have done.

Just sold an item on Ebay for $90 with the promotion of no fees, but copped the fees as the item automatically relisted.

Yeah,jungle out there,Ebay is the master of subterfuge.

I think PayPal is still majority owned by Ebay,they have just spun it off as a separate Co.

I have some finishing tomorrow night that should be eligible for this offer. I will report when they finish.

We received a $30 voucher offer (as a seller) from eBay. Thought I might test out the offer.
One battery has died in my UPS (and the other two are probably not far behind) -it runs 36Volt with three x 12V batteries.
Well I just purchased three of these Brand New 12v 7.2ah 7ah UPS SLA battery and used the voucher code. Price debited to my PayPal account was;
Order total
Subtotal    AU $77.37
Postage    Free
Total voucher amount    -AU $30.00
Total AU $47.37

That is substantially cheaper than what I could buy the Jaycar equivalent using my wholesale account with them.
So looks like a good result on this one.

Received this in an email from eBay yesterday;
"Ship it for Free*
Send your next item for free – yep, free – with Sendle.
Find out More →
*Limited time only. Offer cannot be transferred. Limited to 1 free shipment per user. T&Cs apply."

Had a look at Sendle and it looks interesting. Seems to offer rather attractive rates, compared to Australia Post, for more than 500g parcels. Looks particularly attractive for interstate/remote area deliveries.
Includes Fully tracked (their emphasis), signature on delivery and insurance plus their couriers will pick up the parcels you send. Basically flat rate Australia wide but higher rate to remote locations (still a fair bit cheaper than AP for some I checked).
And integrated with eBay. I wonder how that will affect the eBay/Australia post agreement.

Has anyone tried this service? I am interested in feedback.

I just had a look at Sendle terms and conditions. Basically seems to be all care and no responsibility. The term "your own risk" or similar keeps appearing.
Their included insurance would be useless for us with eBay items. Some extracts from the T&Cs;
•An excess of $100 applies to each claim.
•Please note that you will need to provide proof of the value of the items inside the parcel.
•It is important to know that Sendle's insurance policy cannot cover damaged parcels.
•These items are deemed to be at Owner's Risk (that is, they are NOT covered by Sendle's insurance policy). Second-hand goods and clothes (and six other exclusions).
That seems to give them plenty of outs to decline any claim.

Another "if it looks too good to be true it probably is" scheme.

Doesn't seem to be any difference between them and auspost then :dash1:

JeffH

Well AusPost charges for insurance and charge depends on the value you state. If they lose something they don't quibble but pay (eventually). And they don't care what is in the parcel as long as it is not a prohibited item.
Sendle could be good for mail order shops selling only new goods but not a large saving on A.P. and, I suspect, at least as slow.
