looks very much like the floor boards in our house and it seems to grow near here as well, might be the same wood - in that link the floorboards like exactly like our floor boards

AJ We are mates so why are you wanting to destroy our old  coppers Mate:dodgy:
I have ice-cream containers full of these beautiful old coins and wish to pass these on for what they are.
Gluing them onto coat/key racks is the last thing I would like for my old coins, Why not simply use the circulating decimal coins we are using now:angel:
At the end of our days we are simply custodians of the coins we own and the better we treat them, the better they will be in years to come :ok:

and it smells really nice too :mocking:

Here's what I've just been playing with..very rough for now but ok for first go :good:
this is spade bit

and u-tac/blu-tack work ok but I think the oils in it would mark the coin

this is a hole..it needs more work :mocking:

and I have these holder but have a few other ides as well, just have to see what look ok

I hear ya trout, but that's why I asked for old ones and I don't have so much of a problem using copper but be #$@!ed if I'd use silver..don't think I could come at that. And I started as mum asked me for a keyring holder with her birthyear so here I am..so no disrespect to our precious coins intended mate ;good: I'll use anything and everything..or what ever you'd like me to use, even nibbles eyes would look pretty good :mocking: Ok I'll leave that nibbles alone as well..gee you lot are tough :mocking:

So what modern coin would cover your birth year :cards: snap

i can post you over my coin capsules
they are really nice ( i get them from the usa - air tites)

anyways, with or without coins i'm happy
but i would prefer a coin in a holder if that is possible (just for a special order) as it will keep it's colour - i think!!

anyways, pm is fine if you're interested
don't want to to ruin your friendship with anyone
no coins is fine by me too

i am just keen on the coat holder now after seeing your key ring holder
and your passion for working with the wood
cheers rob

Hey Robbie, sorry but like I said I needed a few days and I remembered using these on the farm. They're about 6 inch long and about 1/2 inch thick at the head, they cost $1.45 at bunning (but I'll look at rural suppliers next as normally cheaper) and they had these nice rustic copper looking double and also single hooks but they're over $5 each :( I aslo found some keyring holders that looked like crap and they wanted $15 and it was round this time that everything went black as I fainted :mocking: I really can't believe what they charge for some things that are just rubbish..they should be wearing masks and holding guns as it's bloody hiway robbery I tell ya.
Any thoughts and feedback most welcome :good:

:dash1: Forgot sorry, and I'd cut them down to about 2 1/2 to 3" or shorter depending on the look and glue them in :good:
