Hi Neal, in relative terms we got the short stick, that is we do not need ventilating!
Our SRN daughter has just spent a couple of years rotating between  cancer and covid wards at Westmead helping dying people so we have first hand news of how bad it can be.
Both of us have are about the same stage, lungs are the battle  ground but at least we can cough up the yellow green goop (sorry anybody having breakfast) and keep breathing.
I have no idea which variant we have got out of the 20 or so bug types going around, not going to bother with a specific test.
I reckon we are about 1/2 way through infection and cure, the battle areas are drying up now so its going to be another week of bunker down and suck up the meds.
Then the recovery will be weeks of re-hab (we are both 80-ish) to get our bodies back to normal which is pretty crap anyway!
Cheers, Fred.
