What the !!!!!!!!

How scarce is the 2005 COA 50 cent coin (the one on the world heritage PNC) ?

[Nevol]

Back in Sep 06, Downies were selling them separately, can't remember how much, but I bought one then. I sent them just under $30, but I bought multiple items. I think you'd probably have to buy the PNC to get one now, not quite as rare as hen's teeth, but getting up there.

[purplepennyhunter]

just looking on flea-bay, there seems to be a wide variety on prices between the different days... there is a single first day / green post mark on about to finish now and it is at $270 + $8 post!!!   Granted it is a low serial (28/7500) but it has me stumped...
maybe someone knows something about the mintage for that day?

Someone has created a new eBay id today (0 fb) and purchased all the bin's of these and shilled up auctions finishing I think today and tomorrow retracting bids over where others had bid too. Also heard they've done the same earlier this week to others selling these pnc's on eBay making purchases he never intends to pay for to take the bin's off the market. Stinks.
Means none of the prices are fair market. Have reported the id not that eBay have done anything yet and there is more than one stinky id involved.

shot an email off to the RAM, will see what they say

Dear

Thank you for contacting the Royal Australian Mint. Apologies for the delay in reply as we
have been seeking information for you.

At this stage the PNC will not be made available in either our normal retail channels or
to Legends members.

We expect to attend EKKA and the International Coin Fair. Please keep an eye on our online
channels for confirmation. We will not be attending any other ANDA Shows this year but
will reassess our events at the end of the year for 2014.

On another note have you had a chance to check out our new Youtube video? It's a teaser
for something very exciting that we can't reveal yet though I'm sure you'll have a pretty
good idea of what's instore. We'll keep you updated on this so you can share the news with
your followers. If you haven't seen it yet you can view it here

Me thinks that the info posted from the RAM and that told to me by Aust Post means that the full set of Expo PNC's will sky rocket.

That is REAL good news.
