This particular roll came from a non internet sale and from a huge collection of rolls. Im thinking its original and either way i paid next to nothing for it. Ive never had luck rerolling them im a bit too clumsy but ive offered thought that there must be people less clumsy who can do it well.

Australian Decimal Circulating Coins / 1970 20c Mint Roll
December 03, 2016, 06:09:54 PM
This arvo i purchased a 1970 20c mint roll and now i dont know what to do with it so need some advice. Its not the rarest date but is early.

So is it worth sending to PCGS and what grades should i expect?

I cant find any rolls on the internet so has anyone seen a recent sale or know a price guide other than maccas/rennicks?

Thanks in advance!

I recall hearing that they were intended on original 66 design but they caused a die weakness so they largely did away with them. Am i off my nut or have others heard something similar?

This is very common on pre-decimals. Not much interest in slight rotations.

Its worth having an example in your collection as a different variety but they dont tend to add that much value.

Also, nice strong example trout.

Its been ages since ive been here. Great to see so many people still kicking around!!

Have been pretty quiet on the coin front lately but had my first noodle in over two years the other day. Did some 50c and got a 85 and 93 which was cool but not much else.

Started to look through the remnants of my collection this morning and thought id check back here.

Anyway, great to see so many doing so well with some great coins.
