Hi ausproofs why do you think it would only grade MS60BN? I was thinking it would grade MS62BN or MS63BN.

Hi Spraggdean, Typically PCGS doesn't like the streak marks on coins based on what I understand and experienced.

Regardless you have a nice coin, good pick up.

Hi ausproofs yes I know that PCGS tend to downgrade coins with streak marks. The 1925 Penny from the Borg collection graded MS63RB and the coin itself has a lot of black streak marks on the reverse.
Hey, I think the two replies after mine summed it up well. It's a nice coin, but I don't think it would grade too high with PCGS. AU58 or MS60 is more likely based on the photos. I hope I am wrong though!

I am not a decimal or a gold coin person, but I am very impressed with what is being achieved! Well done and keep up the good work .. this is the type of publication we need to keep the hobby going. Digital is the way to go. If you end up doing a pre decimal version, I will be very interested! All the best @mrcruise.

Yes, good point.. did not think that far

Hey Steve,

There is a 1923 half and a 1930 penny .. that is worth a few $$$$.. it is hard to grade coins based on photos, however it seems most are very well circulated coins making the value lower. Nice collection nonetheless...

Coin and Banknote Grading / RE: 1912 Threepence grade

Good pick up ! I would say MS63 possibly MS64. Hard to grade based on the photos, but it is looking good. Would love to know what the grade is after PCGS grading is done.
