Quote from: Fishing on January 05, 2023, 05:39:00 PMThanks Jen and Mr T. It's amazing how after so many tries all of a sudden it pays off. I guess some of the big noodlers have decided there's not enough money in it for them.

When I was more actively noodling, I found that there seemed to be pockets of nice coins all at once, that made it seem like someones collection had been returned to circulation.

I do not know KOTCT?

Hi Terry,

I just wanted to say "Thank you!" for keeping the forum going.

I have not done much noodling for a while, but got a few rolls of coins recently to do a little noodling.
Found a couple of coloured $2 coins which was nice.

I got a 2026 10c in change today.

I've heard of the six kangaroo dollar coins being around too but haven't seen one myself.

I have found a couple of the 6 kangaroo $1 coins.

Most Weber guys are in old people homes. I had triple 45m webers on my EH 179 back in 68 and a guy at Bert Jones Racing would tune em..

I had triple strombergs on a Holden 202 years ago.

Everyone always said "Arent they hard to tune?" and "Dont they always go out of tune?", but it was pretty straightforward to get right and they worked well without going wrong.

Just had to adjust the idle screws and the linkages to make sure the same airflow was going through each carby at idle and with a few revs and they were fine.

I got a little tool to do the measuring of the airflow and figured it out from there.

I agree with Unicorn.
Any real mistake in production would have a bunch of coins made, not just a one off.

Easier than using the annual reports. Other values too, just pick your coin.

Its been a while since I looked at the mintages.
Thanks for the reminder!

I saw a police interview on youtube about this.
The person selling them was a collector and bought them for $1.50 each and as they were stolen, the police have taken them.
They also said that they think a large amount of the stolen coins have been put into circulation.

Quote from: 'JeffH' pid='127906' dateline='1678404910'My Hilux radiator has sprung a few tiny leaks lately. Easy to solder up, old style copper/brass unit, but when a 28 year old radiator starts doing that time for replacement. Had to chase around to find the right one; three different outlet pipe configurations on that model and not interchangeable. Most suppliers only have one or two types and not the same as mine.
I found the right one, Supercheap will get one in on special order for $848 and a couple of places around the $500 mark.
Then I found a radiator specialist with one in stock in Sydney at a very good price. Ordered Wednesday afternoon and received it Friday morning first thing. From my dealing with them I am happy to recommend them. They have branches in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
RADIATOR Fits TOYOTA HILUX LN86 $385

2 part epoxy (eg araldite) can do wonders on radiator leaks too.
Did a "patch up" on a car a long time ago and the radiator ended up lasting quite a few years until the car was disposed of.

I think that one happened at the mint!

Congratulations Bruce!
Well done!

Thanks for your post Steve.
Its clear that your car makes you happy and I think that if you get into your car and it puts a smile on your face, then you have a great car for you.

I forgot.
I also added a full size matching spare as well, very early on.
Great minds think alike ☺
We also have a BA wagon. Still too good to get rid of even after 18 years and 260,000km
A friend borrowed it today to transport a bed.
I am a little tempted to turn it into a drag car.
For those into drag cars and/or fabrication, take a look at the youtube channel "haulass garage".
Episode 7 onwards is a father and son building a super low budget drag car.

Congratulations Jeff.
The FG series of falcon is an excellent car.
I have a G6E turbo and am very happy with it.
The ZF 6 speed gearbox is the best auto I have ever used.
I have added an external gearbox cooler to mine to avoid the possibility of the "ZF milkshake" as well as a filter for the turbo oil feed.
I hope you are very happy with your new car.
