I WAS GOING TO DO AN ADVERSE COMMENT ON THE ABOVE SCAN BUT I HAVE JUST ENLARGED MY OWN SCAN OF THE COIN IN THE FOLDER AND I ENDED UP PRECISELY WITH WHAT YOU HAVE POSTED.

IT IS A PITY AS I THINK THE DESIGN(S) ARE REALLY GOOD.

These are only a small coin and it would be almost impossible to get that much detail perfectly.
I am not at all dissapointed with this years pad printed coins.
The finish and the way these coins have been cared for are a step in front of most of the other NCLT issues this year Ok
No nasty rim dings or factory floor contact with these Good
Aim well to enjoy life. You only get One shot at it.

When Robbie and I visited the Mint last year they showed us these in the proof room. They are specially prepared so should be of higher quality. I think the pad printing process lets them down.

I agree, If they did the design in proof with NO colour I think it would look better But there would be the end of the coloured issues to collect Ok
