In March 2017 there was a lot of media coverage about a dollar coin in your pocket that could be worth $1000. That coin is the year 2000 $1/10c mule, struck on the heads side with a 10c coin die and the normal kangaroo reverse (tails die). It can be tricky telling if a dollar coin is a mule error or not, so the folks at the Australian Coin Collecting blog wrote an article on the topic:
How to Spot a Real Year 2000 $1 / 10c Mule

Too many scammers on greedBay for my liking and it's getting worst simply because the report button doesn't let you address the real issue of fraud listings

That one is included. Heheh, you didn't read the whole article did you?
I put a copy of the thread stating where I copied it from, and a link to the article on CCF.
With a bit of luck it won’t get edited by Mom & Dad.
I think they’re not as uptight as they used to be when mentioning other forums.
The more people that see the article, the less there will be getting ripped off.
I'm almost inclined to send a copy to each of the Ebay sellers of 'mules' that are clearly NOT mules. Might try it and see how it goes.
