WavyTwenty

I have sent everyone a PM with the cost details of the coins.  Let me know if you were expecting one of these and you didn't get a PM from me.

I expect I'll see you all again for the Sydney ANDA show - assuming they will have a MYO coin there.

Sorry PP - everyone was a good payer this time.

No worries Nigel. I just had the thought though as it's possible that the portable press is not going to be at the Sydney ANDA now. I collect all the dollars but my heart isn't in it so much anymore. But I have to keep them up to date and get the new ones.

Thanks Trout I did get one of the Perth coins hand delivered from a dear coin friend who visited on his way back from the show. I don't think I even had to pay for it except in hospitality!

It's ok really I just thought I'd ask if there were spares. No big deal.

PPH:-   If you are after an "S" portable press Holey Dollar, I think the Downies in Melbourne may be getting a few.   Do you want me to check it for you?

I went and stamped myself a coin!

I should have done a stack more and sold them at double the price! Kidding! Apologies for not being able to help - with a 3yo and a 5yo, I didn't like my chances of them waiting around while I played!

Just a FYI - they keep a stack of pre-stamped out the back  and you can get them straight away. The only wait is if you want to stamp them yourself.

In my understanding, the ones that have not been stamped (and consequently are rare and more expensive) have come from this stock out the back. None have come from the ones that you stamp yourself - they don't make mistakes with these.

Well now I just feel silly! I didn't know that!
The machine scared the bejeebers out of me - so loud as it smashed a little 's' onto my coin!
Thanks, I'll know for next year :)

I bought one of these last night (buy it now) and noticed that my payment had been refunded this morning.
The seller wanted $7 to send one of these because I paid with paypal .
No worries so I looked about and got one cheaper and with free postage:yahoo:

Please be advised that the "back door" stash that Wavy twenty mentioned, are pre stamped on the same press that one presses his/her own coin at the show.   They are not pre stamped with a production press.

The pre stamped coins are also available to the store holders at these shows.   I just can't think of the name they call these pre orders but I was able to pre order through a coin dealer several years ago.

If you don't have the time then by all means buy the pre stamped coins.

I know when I go to the shows, regardless of how many I have been asked to get for other people, I stand in line and stamp each and every coin.

The most I have been requested to do was 640 when the portable press was at the Royal Melbourne Agricultural show many years ago.   I started pressing at 9.50am and ended bang on 6.00pm.   It was a long, long day.
