take care because we care ..

JeffH

Quotedo you offer free interest , deposit , and time payment plans
As it happens I have a special deal for all forum members called Kel -I think that may be two of you-
•90% deposit
•One month to pay the balance
•Interest free
•If not paid in full within the month all payments to date are non refundable.

Everyone else can try Harvey Norman or hit the plastic. :mocking:

Seriously though, I will send registered post with full insurance for free.

Jeff

QuoteLooks like "everyone ignores it" is right.
Looking forward to the ribald comments tonight.

Only half an hour until today's price decrement.

Any nibbles at $165.00?

Hi K H,
Took a bit of experimenting to get that to work. Hope you like the colour?

Jeff

And, awaiting comments, feedback, criticism from anyone else.

Thanks in advance
Jeff

Hey Jeff
Hope you don't mind but I get a bit creative at times, so,
Here's a mascot to add some colour to your auction

Perhaps nibbles can introduce the new price for each evenings' gathering of the collectors?

Waiting, waiting for an announcement......

JeffH

Announcement probably coming soon.
I have been made an offer that I find hard to refuse.

Well, "upsetcoinseeker"Ûž has obviously peeked at my wish list (http://www.australian-coins.net/showthread.php?tid=168) and made an offer.
No, not a case of Grange but something quite desirable that I don't have.
So, tentative acceptance made (just waiting final arrangements).

Dutch Auction is now on hold. Will only be resumed if the other arrangement does not proceed.

I will advise what is happening and would like to have feedback for improvements to any similar, future auctions. I have a few ideas; what works in a room full of prospective buyers, does not work so well on-line (at least the way I did it). I may have to consult with MarkN to see if my ideas for a better "reverse" auction are feasible.

Next time I might try a less ambitious coin (or coins) to experiment with. And, I promise Nibbles will get a Guernsey in the next auction.

NIBBLES will be madly gnawing on that dandelion flower - shivering with excitement as she awaits the next dutch auction bought to you by JeffH promotions .......

Jeff,
I liked your "reverse auction" idea so much that I am tentativelly considering doing one as well -if it does not tread on your toes.
A couple of ideas I had were to have the amount it drops by set each day (eg 5% per day), or based on tossing a die (eg toss the die twice, add the numbers and take that percentage off)
What do you think?

JeffH

QuoteI liked your "reverse auction" idea so much that I am tentativelly considering doing one as well
It's not really my idea. Commonly used in fish auctions I believe. Go for it.

I am inclined to think an agreed drop in the asking price each day would be the go. Would be nice if that could be automated but, I don't think Forum code would handle that?
Also, encourage interested members to express an interest. Then you can see who is on-line when you set the next price reduction. Otherwise, no idea what is happening out there.

Comment please ladies, gentlemen and assorted others (without mentioning any names);
•How often should price offer be reduced?
•What is a good time of day to be convenient to as many people as possible?
•Is there a workable measure to gauge interest along the way?
•Any other comments?

Thanks,
Jeff
