A word of advice -from experience; don't hang washing on the line when the mulberries are ripe!
Clue; birds love mulberries, which go straight through their digestive systems.

kel I think the paper + lamination is probably one of the most awful ways to store your notes
if it isn't acid free paper the nit may contain sulphides and these will eat away at your notes, well it damages coins
plus I suspect the heating would also damage

anyways, never heard of  it
I guess it keeps the moths out but the polymer notes shouldn't be affected by moths anyways

keldaw

thanks Robbie .

today I will open up and see the results , and if the notes are showing signs of damage in anyway , I will just cash them in at the bank , but I think they should be like new still ,anyway this is just an experience for me , the worst thing that can happen ,is I am down $ 200.00 .

I look forward to next years mulberry pie ..... :)

They are from cuttings so should start to fruit pretty quick. Some of mine
are fruiting in the pot. Here's a clue if you plant it in the ground then leave
it in the pot as it will establish much faster

I've got 4 x Rosella bushes, just starting to fruit, so Rosella Jam soon. Yummy!!  My most favourite jam of all time. :yahoo:

One plant got 2 fruit on it ages ago and I just left them so I could get some seeds, but yesty that plant fell over and one of the old fruit fell off and I only got 2 seeds from it and it looks as though that's all it had in it. I'll collect the other old fruit soon and that way I shouldn't lose any seeds out of it.

My first attempt at raising them from seeds that Steve sent me went OK until the possums found the seedlings and ate them, so I bought 4 seedlings from Bunnings and kept them protected until they were approx 18 ins high, and they're now between 5-6 Ft high.

Does anyone have a method of protecting their skin from the hairs on the seeds when making the jam?  I last made R.jam over 40 years ago but I can still remember the irritation from those hairs. :dash1:

Lovely Kel
Did you seal them or buy them like that?

Nevol I wear kitchen gloves
And put the hard seed case from the centre of the fruit into muslin  and tie that tight then pop that in with the fruit leaves and sugar for the jam. The seed case oozes pectin which thickens the jam naturally.  I buy rosellas from the market here.  Have baby plants but have left to too late to get fruit I think. Maybe this chat is for the home maintenance thread. I can hear the groans from here! Ha ha

Mulberries can make a right mess
that is why my current plant is in a large pot
there has been no agreement yet on where to plant it & it would be a biggy when it goes in the ground

Kel,
I would not even try to guess what price a coin might fetch on eBay. Have a look at my SOLD from tonight and tell me how much the Norfolk Island or 20¢ Centenary of Federation sets are worth!
