As you can see, we're in the process of upgrading ACF to newer (and better) software.  The database has been converted from MyBB to SMF, the conversion completed without errors.  I've cobbled together a quick custom theme, has a few bugs but looks and works ok for now.  All members, posts, and images should be here.  Haven't gotten the gallery working yet, it was bridged to the MyBB install, will work on that.

This is your forum, I need to know if anything's broken, missing, or just disagreeable to members.  Please post your comments, suggestions, complaints in this topic.  Your patience is appreciated.

Ok, the Coppermine gallery has been updated to current version and bridged to the converted SMF forum.  There were a lot of problems doing this, but everything seems to be working correctly.  The gallery should work like it did with MyBB, all members' albums and images should be there.  Any feedback would be helpful.  If you're having problems with login clear your browser history.

One minor problem I have noticed, I have my home page set as "https://www.australian-coins.net/search.php?action=unreads" in this profile and get 404 NotFound error.
"https://www.australian-coins.net" gave same error for a few days but fine now. I notice the banner with link for Today's Post and Unread Posts no longer is there.
Cheer,
Jeff
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

Krash

The links for unread posts and topics are upper left next to date/time.  Direct link -

 https://www.australian-coins.net/index.php?action=unread

You must be logged in for that to work, else it will display login window.

I seen that the info center was off and set it to 30.

Krash

That's too much information, set it for 10.

I've increased font sizes for gallery.

As you can see, member avatars did not carry over from MyBB.  You can upload your avatar in -

Profile > Look and Layout > Upload an avatar

If you can't find your avatar, I've uploaded the MyBB avatars to the Gallery, you can download it from there -

  https://www.australian-coins.net/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=523

I have found that this link works for me to return to view unread messages.

I just wanted to inform everyone who had "UPLOADED their AVATARS" that they are no longer missing. As Krash had stated the avatars for some reason did not transfer and he gave everyone instructions to replace them shown above. But, as of 03:00am this morning they have been re-uploaded into each of you who had one.

Now, those who chose to add an avatar via a URL LINK will need to re-establish that link yourself. The software does not store off-site links like those.

I would like to encourage everyone to use the upload feature when adding an avatar. It's the only way it is kept safe and is done so with every backup. All for now.

Cheers!

Good to hear from you mate! It's been a long time. Too long actually. Sir Krash at the Castle has done some amazing things there too. I think back to the original forum and how antiquated it looked like in comparison to how it looks now and I'm amazed.

This site here got a much needed 10+ year overhaul. All the lines are cleaner and colors are brighter and yet the guts (the data) is still in tact.

You need to take a look at the gallery too. It received a much needed facelift and you don't need to squint to read the text.

I want to stress a point here to everyone who reads this. If it weren't For Krash neither site would likely have existed in 6 months. I was having serious issues with GoDaddy and the Castle was down, big time. He gave me solid hosting suggestions and I listened. From there KOTCT was given new life and the same happened to the Australian coins Forum. It's amazing what can be done when someone who actually knows what they're doing is making it happen!

Come visit the Castle and bring your friends. New members from here can request changes for threads and use all the bells and whistles it has. It will be 20 years old in about 13 months.

All for now mate!

Yep, we owe Krash, big time. Also thanks to TKO, for finding Krash.

;D Should I ask him to put a donation button on the header? ;D

Hey, I added two of those Roo coins on the same thread you seen. They look awesome!

Mister T

Thanks! Looks good.
