If it helps, a toned VF example of 1938 sold in the Mowbrays Auction in NZ for NZ$190.

The coin was a lot worse than the one I gave Trigg, but people wanted it.

My opinion is I love these crowns and its a shame they did not carry them on, it was a good silver coin and had over 26 grams of silver in it.

My own 1938 is a decent AU coin, I paid $325 for back in 2022, has natural lustre and actaully better than both of my 37's.
