Thanks mate

I was sure at least the UNC were out by now - anyway I'll keep an eye out

The rumour mill has them released around February or March

Mister T

So maybe no Elizabeth II set then? All King Charles?

UNC set are King - still nothing on the proof set - or baby sets for that matter

Baby sets are in the latest currency determination with King Charles.

So do we have any idea when yet? Mint set, proof?

I didn't bother with the 5 cent rolls. $15 for $2 worth of coins PLUS postage seemed a bit rude... and 11,000 odd rolls.
Seriously.

Just looking through that currency determination I was amazed at how much variance is allowed on minting our coins.
$2 6.6 grams PLUS or MINUS 0.6 grams. That seems a lot in this day and age.
Most appalled by the 50 cent which can vary nearly as much as 2 grams. What?
I know you can get dodgy planchets or even the wrong ones occasionally.
Interesting to see if it is the wrong planchet it is probably not legal tender. Not that you'd want to spend it.

Mister T

I didn't bother either - just waiting for the set.

And yeah that seems quite high - maybe it's the supplier's tolerances not our own?

Mister T

Looks like these are available now.

Yep, some $300 plus for a proof set, two unc and a baby set. Who says RAM doesn't know how to fleece, err make money. At least it was only one lot of postage instead of that scam they are running with the ballot.
