I was lined up at Federation Square Melbourne for the RAM's Pop Up tent at 0605 hrs, Thursday 12 sep 2019 to find nothing set up and no RAM personen to be found.

Eventually some staff turned up, then the tent and vault and then the action of getting everything up and ready was on.

At 0800 hours the selling and buying began with two lines lines up.

One line for the satchels only with the second line for the Police coins etc.

I was second to get my satchels and third to get my other coins and I was finished.

Met up with several regulars that keep turning up at these tent shows and finally met up with Jens Coins and hubby.

We were all done by around 0845 so off we go for a coffee over the road and to visit Downies.

Apparently the RAM sold out of everything by around 0930-0945 something and only had the The Great Air Race tinned sets left to sell.

According to comments on another coin site a lot of people are complaining that the RAM allowed people to buy large quantities, up to 25, of the ASIO coins at a time which meant only a few that lined up got their wack.

Here some shots of the setting up and lines at the tent:

Great report and photos Bruce.

We left home at 4.30am and arrived a Federation Square at 7.30am ready to line up and meet the regulars. Had to avoid kangaroos and slow traffic on the Monash Freeway.
Back at home at 5.00pm. Long day but worth the effort.
Yes it was great to catch up with the regulars that we see at these events. Don't know all their names but recognise their faces.
