Awesome! I know quite a few banks that use Prosegur.

Noelos237

Can anyone tell me which banks use Prosegur?

Having arrived back in Australia on Saturday, 3/11/18 to be met with the fact of a 2019 $1 coin found in circulation and then to read that some coins were found to have an "A"< "U" or "S" and 35 emblassened upon the reverse.

What, I thought.

Anyway, out shopping the same day to secure needed food and low and behold I was able to secure 4 bags of the NEW 2018/2019 $1 coins.

Off home, opened the bags and ended up 14 full sets of the A/U/S coins.   How lucky can one be.

Since then, I have secured another three or four bags of coins, ($20.00 bags), and I now have 23 full sets and can now supply a requirement to a gent in WA of six sets.

I have plenty of spare "A" and "U"s if people are short.

Please PM me if required.

and I thank you very much for that Bruce.

Hope you had a great cruise. The wife and I were going to do the same cruise, but at a later date, but not any more.
We just got back from a short 4 day cruise to Albany though. :)

I see Melbourne Mint are now putting a set of three of these coins out in a folder.

https://www.melbournemintcoins.com.au/shop/melbourne-mint-celebrating-35-years-of-the-one-dollar-coin-folder/

Priced at an eye gouging $34.95 plus $10.99 Postage

They can't even describe them properly calling them Counterstamps when they are actually Privymarks.

Australian Decimal, UK Decimal, USA & Euro Coins are what I collect.

But Mike..........these are "specially struck" with "unique counterstamps"  and a "limited mintage"................that clanking noise you heard was the bottom of the barrel being scraped......................don't you just love advertising departments!
Coins are no longer needed so we will  make them now with bits of coloured paint or put the dog down the street on them or get the letter punch set out and hit a few. Instant rarities!! Now let me see is that not what happened to those bits of sticky paper you used to put on snail mail? Now that industry was a booming success! Stands to reason if that worked why not with coins.
That's called creating a bubble and as I read these forums I think collectors are getting tired of  "bubbles"?
Fred.

It amuses me that Post Offices sell special stamps sets but, if you post a letter and want to use a stamp you have to specifically ask for one otherwise you get a printed label.
A Post Shop franchisee told me that they actually get a very slightly larger commission for stamps but the printed labels are more convenient for the staff.

Sooner or later these bubbles will burst and we will be reduced to eating our tulip bulbs (mint marks, counterstamps and privy marks having no nutritional value).
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

Australian Post should be doing more to promote it as a hobby.

I gave up collecting these at the start of this year, after collecting for over 50 years.
The amount of crap they were churning out just turned me off. Unfortunately, the
RAM, and other mints, are heading the same way. I might have to go back and
collect only 20th century or earlier.
