Of course not, Silly Me for thinking that the dealers would miss out on their Cash Cow rolls.

Big dealers whinged about sachets being available,RAM reacted and now uses ATO compliance as an excuse to stop selling on eshop

Do you think they'd change their minds if I offered to pay GST on them?

Does anyone know which ATO regulations they're talking about? Can anyone provide an online link to them? :dontknow:

I think the taxation excuse is BS, They just don't want to do the sachets any more.

There are over 200 comments of the RAM's face book page regarding this, & as you can guess there is not one that is positive about this.

The RAM is watching, as they have answered a few comments, but  with very stock answers.

At least they will still be available at pop up shop swaps.

Maybe the reason is hidden somewhere in SCMO's latest "fair budget" with his grab for more tax?

If that was the case, it would be easy to quote what rules they need to comply with and divert bad sentiment from the mint.

That's very limited opportunities to get your hands on the sachets.
If you have to travel to far, you might as well by the rolls from the dealers.
Why don't the RAM just add on GST if that's the problem. I would pay
$11 for $10 worth of coins rather than run all over town trying to score some.

Mister T

I assume it's the same reason that the RBA no longer sell notes at face value, which I assume is anti-money laundering.
Surely they could charge twice face value or something like that to get around it.

Hercules

Oh, well. I'm sure Downies will fill in the void. $20 for a pack of 5, plus another $10 for postage. :(

Mister T

Ugh.
Hopefully they can figure it out, whatever the problem is. Or just do more pop-up shops.
