Picked mine up yesterday as well, and was great to see the Mint didn't permanently entomb the coins, which made it super easy to remove the four one dollar coins without destroying the folder. Happy to say the said coins have had their acetone bath and are now safely entombed in saflips, and the three two dollar coins have found another home.  :yahoo:
As we age we lose three things, one is our memory and arrrrr I've forgotten the other two!

Only one coin has been released so far, so 10 coins the same.
The next two coins will be released over the next two weeks.
2 coins have been added to your pile. :)

Ah, same procedure as with Possum Magic and Olympic coins. Hadn't known that.

Thanks for adding them to my pile. :yahoo:

so is this how the rolls are done on ebay?

That listing is deceptive. Coins are from bags. Roll paper is not particularly relevant except to entice a buyer.

I just went to Woollies to get some coins, and the lady said she wasn't allowed to check whether she was giving me a Commonwealth Games coin, and she couldn't swap any of them after giving them to me. I then told her that they were able to do this previously, and she said that the Terms & Conditions had changed. I then went to the Woollies website and found this:

How is this fair? If I go there specifically to get some loose Commonwealth Games coins, do I now need to go to up to 20 different registers just to get one? And what happens if they give me last week's coin instead of this week's? Is it now just a case of bad luck?

Does anyone else think we should write a petition to either RAM or Woollies to make the Terms & Conditions a bit more friendly towards collectors? I might have kids in a few years, and I'd love to be able to give them a few loose coins, instead of telling them that Woollies didn't want them to have any.

I have also aired my views re this very subject directly to certain persons at the RAM and reply I got was "once we issue the coins we have no more control over them" and in regards to looking after collectors, I got not reply.

I personally have had no trouble securing the coins at one or two at a time.

It would appear to me that the above extract as posted was arrived at in co-operation with Woolies management so I would say that both Woollies and the RAM are in cahoots with one another.

Good news. I went to several other Woollies stores today, and ended up with a hoard. I guess I just have to keep doing what I did last time, and go from store to store until I have enough. All of the people I spoke to were quite helpful, but I guess there are always a few who just want to make life difficult.

I think I overreacted because the person who gave me trouble yesterday works at my local store, and until yesterday, I'd never had any difficulty obtaining coins from them. I still remember when they sold me almost an entire bag worth of blue Olympic coins, so it's a pity that I now have to fight tooth-and-nail just to get one from them.

Yeah what a joke mate that legal jargon is ... it should be simple ... yet we see bags of them listed on thieveBay from obviously dishonest staff of Woolworths

This happens every time one of these promotions involving RAM and Woolies comes into play.
Instead of blaming the cockroaches that are flogging the bags off Maybe we should be blaming RAM for continuing on with this deal with woollies after so many breaches of their agreement :whistle2:

:agreed: I reckon RAM have a severe case of DILLIGAF. As long as their coffers get an injection of funds.
