:laugh2: .... on ya Jeff .... that's them to a T ...... shirt

We should ask Steve if they have come yet. Possible answers "Yes" or "No" -and did they contact to make another date?
If Steve doesn't answer then that means they have pulled their common trick; cut off the old service but not get around to activating the new service. Should we run a sweep on how long he will be without internet in that case? I would like to draw a ticket of about 7 to 10 days -that seems to be the common delay (at least around here).

I was thinking of buying one of those T shirts. Yes, they are available on-line. Might do it tomorrow or perhaps the day after. :lazy2:

:laugh2: ..... I'll have 5 and 6 ...... don't rush on the shirts, I'm sure if we wait they'll go on special.

OK, it's not all bad, I'm back.
Seems they didn't have to come to the premises
to do FTTN, so they just switched it over and didn't
tell us. I rang iinet and they said to plug the new modem
in and then talked me through the set up. All good now.
Download has gone from 12 to 46 and upload has gone
from 0.8 to 19. I'm happy with that at peak time on a
50 mbps plan. :)

P.S. Jeff, that's one of my favourite songs. :)

Finally working on cabling our suburb - It seems we are getting FTTC (fibre to the curb) so I look forward to the results. A double pit has been constructed near our front boundary so we should only have 15 - 20 feet of copper into our home - will update as work progresses

I reckon you'll have the tunnel to Coopers done before that Robster!

Robster

Haha - Coopers have just spent several million building an on-site barley processing plant - smells divine :)

Just for a change; this could be good news for rural areas where NBN performance generally ranges from bad to woeful.
Elon Musk's Starlink gets approval for satellites closer to Earth
Mt Musk's satellite service is already available in some areas of Australia. The main issue, when it becomes generally available might be the price.
