Speaking of window shopping, I was looking at the 1919 Penny Double dot. Sure, the coin is rare in that grade, but looks to have an excess of verdigris on the obverse which is pretty much entrenched.

Interested to hear any thoughts on this?
As we age we lose three things, one is our memory and arrrrr I\'ve forgotten the other two!

Yeah,great coin,its got the big lump over the top scroll,probably a early Mint as not many of those around as i guessed they 'trimmed' the Die somewhere along the line.These weren't regarded as a separate variety for many years,well into the 1960's before they were accepted by many Dealers & 'Éxperts',Info on another Thread on this Forum.
No idea what $ it will go for but the Verdigris will be a problem in the long term you would think even if it has been treated and is benign.
