The penalty for defacing coins, or selling or possessing money that has been defaced, is $5,000 or imprisonment for two years for an individual (or both)

But would they really do anything because people that have and deal in fakes seem to get away with it because the coppers don't seem to care. But I wouldn't do it anyway :winkextra:

I have just got back from the RAM TeePee .
I was pretty quiet as we got there early and had to wait until 10am.
The RAM people were very nice and we got a few goodies.
NO coloured $2 coins but Tayah got to stamp a few Dollar coins and she ended up with a few odds and sods to add to her collection :good:

Just had a look at a few of these stamp your own coins and the counterstamp is as rough as guts .
It looks like a big "Cud" on the bottom of the stamping.

D'oh I just ordered a (supposedly limited) t-shirt and olympic sets on Saturday, then they sold out of olympic sets and NOW they make the dollars available and the olympic sets reappear grrrrr
