Quote from: 'DarkDaiver' pid='88318' dateline='1462498930'Thank you! I will. Actually there are few other coins I didn't find. Some of the Century of Federation and colored 2 dollars. How possible is it to find someone in Brisbane to change the coins? preferably for the foreign ones...

I can help you mate :) I've had a big bunch of coins from someone the other day, happy to share. Sent you a PM.

I know, thank you.

But tell me please, how a newbie collector - who is also only temporarily in Australia - is meant to write 50 meaningful posts in a short timeframe, without it being stupid questions annoying to knowledgeable people?

I was not going to post any offers in that section, or any other sections, but in this particular case, someone just needs help and was asking whether there were people in Brisbane who he can get in touch with...

Sorry if this caused inconvenience.

Clearly, you can't do that. Maybe there is another way. Off the top of my head I'm not even sure what is you're looking for. I assume you've tried noodling, coin dealers etc. The ANDA show in Brisbane is coming up. Maybe you can continue to contribute to the forum after you return home and work something out then.

No need to apologise, its all  :good:

Thanks :) It's not actually me, it's the other guy who's the guest. I'm local all right :)

Sorry, I went back and re-read the OP, I mis-understood who was who. I think its perfectly acceptable to carry on a conversation. That way you will quickly reach 50 posts and at the same time others will get to know you while you go about it.

As for the subject of the OP, I couldn't help in any case since I have little or no interest in contemporary RAM issues.

I have just pre ordered the $1 and $2 rolls from Wynyard's.
I won't get them until nearly the end of the year though.
The coins I got in the 5,10,20 and 50 cent rolls look to be in better nick that the bagged coins I got from RAM so I am not that deterred paying the premium to get these in the rolls :ok:

where do you order coins in rolls? are there more expensive than the face value?

Quoteare there more expensive than the face value?
Yes they are But you normally get far better coins from rolls than what you can get from circulation at face value :ok:

great to deal with
you can phone up or go into the shop
I haven't had any issues

some say be careful with buying very old silver coins but the newer decimal ones are fine

The shop is hidden away in the bowels of Wynyard Station but worth a visit if you are in Sydney.

Now, who says be careful with very old silver, do you mean pre-decimal?

it might seem confusing

The 50 post rule is simply to keep our members safe. Trading should be conducted in the trading forum. If you choose to trade via PM or email then admin can't stop you. Again, the rules are just to protect us and stop members from getting mistreated by people we don't know. Simple.
