RAM Changeover Tour

At long last, the RAM has given us dates for the continuance of it's Changeover Tour.   They will be in my area, Melbourne on the 25 Feb 2016 and I am offering my services to anyone that needs assistance in getting the new 2016 ANZAC Lest We Forget coins counterstamped with the use of the Portable press with the Map Of Australia.

Last year the RAM used the 2015 ANXZAC Lest We Forget coin, this year ir is the 2016.   I can only quote what the info is from the RAM's site.

Also, available will be a straight swap of the red and the orange $2 coins in $10.00 packages.   The $1.00 Counterstamped coins will be at a cost of $10.00, per coin.

I am prepared to assist anyone who wants these coins.

1.   Forum Name
2.   Full postal address and email address   (These details are for my info only and will not be passed on to third parties).
3.   Orders of Counterstamp $1.00 coins - Quantity Required @ $10.00 per coin.
4.   Orders of the RED $2.00 coins, at $10.00 per bag - No of bags reqd @ $10.00 per bag.
5.   Orders for the ORANGE $2.00 coins at $10.00 per bag - No of bags reqd @ $10.00 per bag.
6.   Just in case one will be able to secure 2016 ANZAC Lest We Forget Coins at face value, IE not counterstamped, - Qty reqd @ presumedly face value.
Please PM with your requests and once I have acknowledged your order, it will deem to be a contract between you and I unless what I have stated above cannot be secured.
Please note that all my onforwarding of coins will be sent by Registered Mail or alike.   Postal costs will have to be taken into account.

I had a call from a friend yesterday advising me that the new round of dates for the changeover tour have been released now.

I really don't think that they could have picked a worse day for collectors. Its a great day for the mint in the sense of sales but collectors wont enjoy it. The Torrens parade ground will have 50,000 -100,000 plus people there on ANZAC day. The dawn service will draw in huge crowds also and the march will end at the parade ground. I seriously doubt that anyone will be able to go around more than once and that's even if they get 1 go..

Lining up early will be considered disrespectful to the day also.

I think the better option may be to head to either Mildura, Port Augusta or even Broken Hill. Each is over 4 hours away but will be better than being in Adelaide.

Past years have taught me that this is a massive day in Adelaide.

I will have to consider options with this. It may prove more economical to just buy them from the mint instead of spending 8 hours on the road and a day in lines.

And how's this for a kicker, I am rostered on duty for 3 of the days including ANZAC day!!
