I noticed a $5 2012 note the other day with a serial starting 12 345nnn. Since then I have seen a couple more 123..... and 1234....
It got me thinking -is it possible there are some notes (any denomination) from 2012 that could have the serial 12345678? I would imagine they would have been snaffled rather quickly if they hit circulation.
Has any one heard of such serials?

Also, yesterday, I received three $50 consecutive serials (and another just a few digits away) from 2009. Beautiful condition; is that another indicator of how slack Armaguard is in turning over stock? It would appear they have been in hiding for seven years before hitting circulation!
Thinking is dangerous, it makes you think. That\'s why many people avoid it.

Check the PDF. Yes, $5, $10, $50 all had 345678 in 2012.

Collect the set.. I dare ya! :)

We all know Armaguard are slack. They still have a sack of Holey Dollars in the back of the vault somewhere. :diablo:

I would if I could but...where do I start? And what should I budget?

Was there a countdown in 1987? I don't recall the year being part of the prefix back then.

Quite interesting Jeff, I got about 10 consecutive perfect 2009 $50s back a few months ago. Unfortunately I had to use them.

Found a $50 EB13. The thing is the B is placed noticeably lower than the E and the numbers. Can someone explain what this is?

Similar to these except with a letter

Noelos237

Yeah like that. Is my note worth anything above face (condition is not uncirculated but close).

Can you post a pic, please. It would probably be worth more than face value, unsure by how much. Haven't collected notes for awhile now, sorry.

Serial numbers are cool I bought these from a member a couple of months back. Nice First & last prefixes.
Thanks Peter

With this Pound note good numbers nothing really special, but I liked them enough.

To me, and this is just an opinion, it is a very minor drop. I probably wouldn't keep it.

Oddly enough this one dropped into my hands tonight showing the second 9 dropped, then I read Noel's post ...... how bizarre. Unfortunately it'll be going on bills tomorrow. :cray:

I have some pieces still, but not actively collecting them anymore.
Think this may have been the last one I bought awhile back.
