This vehicle followed me up the street today. A little later it came back the opposite way and parked across the road from me. There was a space in front of me but it was not all that large -I had forgotten how big these mothers are.
I think Unicorn (and maybe some others) will give this a (why do we not have a "thumbs up" or even a "like" smilie?).

Note the side Venetians (but no rear ones) and, where is the roof mounted wind deflector to keep the tailgate window clean?

I noticed a while back a post on one of the Holden Forums,guy going crook as he had to remove his rear Nasco Venetians for Rego. on his NSW Rego. Car(EH IIRC) even thou. they were a GMH accessory along with his Nasco side mirrors,strange.

Need the front end lowered a tad, 6/71 blower with butterfly scoop and a few other bits and pieces.

Talk is cheap AJ. With a nice, original vehicle like that you want to keep it as original as possible and any modifications to be easily reversible.

I suggest a sensible policy (I know you want to be good) would be;
•Fit a 5 litre (still 302) from a recent model (will be fuel injected).
•Matching 5 speed gearbox -auto or manual, your choice.
•Nice set of 12 slotters or, if you really want wide rubber (and who doesn't) then some Bathurst pattern mags -you can still get them new. 8" at the front and 10" rear with suitable tyres.
 16" or 17" diameter -any larger will mean extra low profile tyres which the suspension will not like at all. And larger will cost you one of your spare kidneys!
 Falcons of that vintage had plenty of room under the arches for that wheel/tyre combination without body modifications.
•Slightly lowered springs and best quality shock absorbers you can afford plus a little larger set of sway bays. Suspension bushes are optional but a lot of neoprene ones kill the comfort level (and you aren't going to drive a vehicle like this in rallys or on the track).
•Good sound system. Quite affordable nowadays.

There you have a vehicle that will be nice to drive, much better performance and fuel economy than original, great ride and handling and a superb 'bird trap' -choice of music for the sound system is all important; I do not suggest Jump in my Car or The Newcastle Song. They may be counterproductive.

Yeah ok I won't go so heavy but can I still make a sleeper out of it and put in a nice 351 or 454 with twin turbo and/or nitro and a quickshifter of some description and I want indy rims (the one's with the 5 holes) so that's one kidney so what else can I sell :blush2:
I don't need much of a stereo just as long as I can get the radio but a CD player might be nice and put cruise control in it

Well I did have a heavy foot and especially in the old holden's and bluebird that all use to go like the clappers and after a few really big fines got the 4x4 jackaroo and thought I better keep with the slower cars so then got the rodeo ute but still have a heavy foot (just not as heavy but only because the cars don't go as fast) and still don't mind doing the odd linelock :blush2: but now I go out the road to be naughty where no one can see me :mocking:

Yeah,i think it came into effect when they changed law regarding dark window tint but with side mirrors it shouldn't matter.Anyway no big deal to refit them for Car Shows.
