I have been thinking about the investment vs collecting for pleasure for some months now. I have been collecting all sorts of coins all my life and in the last 10-15 years concentrated on new decimals, partly for investment because they are easier to value being all UNC. But it has not given me much collecting pleasure, i just buy the coin and put in in my folder.
But the pre decimals give me collecting pleasure, going through the coins I have sold some and buy a better quality coin. And what is best there is not that overwhelming number of coins compared to decimal UNCs.

So for now I have stopped collecting decimal coins and started going through my silver pre decimals, they are beautiful coins to look at and the history behind them as well, interesting.
