Mister T

I found a C mintmark 2002 $1 last night.

Got a 2015 Home Front 20c from that year's ANZAC coins series in change yesterday.

This is my first!

As I said on Coin Community, I noodled two coins from that series during the early part of last year, and it took me a while to realise they were NCLT. I thought the mint had decided to sneak a few more commemoratives into circulation, and I was bitterly disappointed when I realised that wasn't the case. :cray:

Got this from the local post office today! Still looks pretty decent despite being 13 years old!

Good pick-up Rolly :good:

Looks good but the "C" looks a long way away from the flagpole.

I was going to say that it was from the Portable Press but I don't think the portable press was used to do any "C" Eureka coins.

Probably from the mint gallery press. There's a picture of one right here:

All the various mintmarks for the 2004 Eureka Stockade $1 coins are positioned under the "S" in "Stockade" Just as this one is :ok:
Nothing unusual about this particular coin and mintmark.

Some of the "Es" got a little closer to the flag pole.

I actually have the mint gallery version that a family member who was visiting Canberra got for me that year, and it looks identical to the one Rolly found. Hence, when I look at the one with the "E" mintmark, I'm surprised to see that it's so close to the flagpole.
