Bloody good Sport Award

There are many Members that unselfishly help out other people on this forum on a regular basis and I personally think that there should be an award for the most helpful and generous member for the year.

I will supply the Prize, Not sure what it will be yet but it will be nice

I am thinking that 1st of December will be a good time to end the voting for this as the prize will get to the winner by Christmas.

Any ideas how this could be implemented would be most helpful. :good:

You realize there would have to an alternative prize from another source in the event that you are the winner, as well could happen? It wouldn't be fair for you to win a savings on postage costs.

I am NOT in the running for this one, There are far more generous and helpful people out there that deserve this far more than I do.
Anyway as I am the one handing out the Prize it makes me ineligible as a candidate anyway

I am thinking that from now to mid November everyone posts the members usernames as candidates and we all take a vote the last week of November to decide who gets the goodies

NO limit on the number of members people can nominate But everyone will only have one vote when it comes to decide the winner, I will not participate But if it comes to a tied vote I will have the deciding vote ( This will be done via Marks hat method) :ok:

Thanks people but lets not get carried away. It cost me nothing other than a couple of trips to the Post Office. There may not be many of them around at the moment but mintage is 2,000,000 so they won't be scarce.

Besides I was lucky enough to win PPH's hat draw earlier in the week.

as it seems to be akin to a public popularity contest

I reckon that here, there is a spirit of being helpful and there is a heck of a lot of exchange and gifting amongst members - and it is spontaneous with not all of the goings on being mentioned in the threads

just my point of view

*** to me this is like asking me my favourite of anything and I just can't do it sorry because there's just way to many and where do I start, Mark and PP for the forum, you or AC for hassling me enough to sign up in the first place as I didn't like the idea of closed forums but now I don't mind it. Or you, belly or any of the other copious amounts of people that have helped me in so many ways be it the kind gesture of a coin, coin or personal advice or even just a friendly shoulder for support so I'm out sorry because there's just way to many beautiful people for me to pick one :give_heart: but like the thought as you have a heart of gold :angel:

And then I'd offend someone because I either forgot because I'm a useless sieve or they weren't high enough on the list so either way I'd upset someone and I do that easy enough as it is :angel:
