Looking for star notes!

I need to add to my collection a nice star note as that is the only notemthat i dont have yet!
I have seen some online for sale but i dont trust it with these notes.

I see you have been a member here for a reasonable time but are yet to hit the 50 post minimum required to trade. And this is the wrong section for buy/sell/wanted.

Maybe we could turn this thread into a discussion about buying notes. I'd love to add a dollar star note to my collection but, as you, are wary of buying online and seeing through all the shenanigans that goes on in the note industry -wash, bleach, press, repair, trim etc. I doubt there's too many unfiddled notes left?

What do the note collectors have to say?

International Auction Galleries have an auction coming up on the Gold Coast on 28/9/14 and there are both Decimal and Predecimal starnotes available.
